On April 25, 2007, the U.S. Department of State issued a notice confirming that no U.S. adoption agencies have been accredited with the Russian Federation's Ministry of Education and Science.   As a result, all foreign adoptions have been suspended indefinitely until accreditations are issued.  The State Department notice about Russia adoptions can be found at: http://www.travel.state.gov/family/adoption/intercountry/intercountry_3229.html
